Paula Prickett

Owner & Travel Advisor

Luxury travel isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about feeling more like yourself in places that bring you back to life.

With nearly a decade of experience as a Virtuoso travel advisor, I design high-touch international itineraries for clients who crave more than just luxury, they want meaning.

Some of my most cherished memories were made while traveling with my late husband. After losing him unexpectedly, I came to understand how powerful travel can be, not just as an escape, but as a way to reconnect with what matters most.

That insight shapes every trip I design. My process is intentional, emotionally intelligent, and tailored to reflect the life you’ve worked hard to build. I don’t just ask where you want to go. I listen for how you want to feel when you get there, and when you come back.

The name Black Dog Luxury Travel honors my three beloved black labs, Dormie, Chip, and Atlas, who keep life full of joy and grounded in love.

If you’re ready for travel that feels personal, present, and quietly extraordinary, you’re in the right place.

My wanderlust started early; I grew up studying maps of the world on the kitchen table with my dad!

  • 02

My favorite place is the place I’m going next!

  • 03

I have been a rescue scuba diver since 2003. I’m always game to get my fins wet.

  • 04

I love trying local craft gins when traveling.

  • 05

I am owned by three black Labradors named Dormie, Chip and Atlas. Black Dog Luxury Travel was named after them.

  • 06

We often compete in dog agility competitions and have had the top agility Labrador in the country several times.

  • 07

I had an 11 year old treadmill that I used multiple times per week, until it recently died a horrible smoking death. Our relationship lasted longer than many marriages.

  • 08

The only musical instrument I can play is the radio. Yeah, I’ve got nothing…

  • 09

I am a pie crust snob and make pies from scratch every Thanksgiving.

    Travel Advisor

Sarah Johnson was born in Louisiana and moved at a young age to Montgomery, Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Civil Engineering degree, she moved to Austin to start her professional career. While in Austin, she met her husband, David, and got married in fall of 2023.

Traveling has always been a huge part of Sarah’s life. It has been a foundation for building memories and growing relationships, both when life was simple and more challenging. Sarah has a passion for new adventures, learning about historical places, and experiencing different cultures around the world. She has a creative eye and is always on the lookout for the most beautiful art pieces, ornate architecture, and discovering the hidden gems of nature. However most of all, she loves going on these journeys and creating memories with the people she loves.

      Hillary Graham

      Travel Advisor

Hillary Graham has always had a passion for travel. After earning her undergrad at the University of North Texas, she sought out positions that would allow her to travel while working and enjoyed racking up miles around the lower 48 and Alaska. After earning her Masters in Human Resource Management from Colorado State, she realized she wanted to blend her love of travel and her enjoyment of helping others through planning people’s dream vacations.

She firmly believes that traveling the world and experiencing new places and cuisines is the key to happiness. She and her husband love to travel and are lucky to have friends who have been bitten by the travel bug too! When Hillary isn’t traveling or helping you plan your next adventure, she volunteers at the Houston SPCA and enjoys hanging with her two rescues Momo, a potcake who came home from a Turks and Caicos trip and Muppet, a schnoodle who came home after a volunteer shift.
